Silent Things Are Beautiful
Silent things are beautiful:
Mice and deer,
And rain that falls
Ice-cold and sheer,
Seas and trees,
Pollen in the air,
The weak-prided fleas,
The mother’s baby bear.

And loud things are beautiful:
The cry of newborn,
The eruption of volcano
That smolders new to burn,
The trees that crack,
The thunderstorm’s shower,
And the lion that roars
In a display of pride’s power.
